I work with a guy known as Beany. He commented to me to stop posting things on Facebook about 'all' the places I'm visiting.
Well don't get me wrong, we might get around a bit, but very rarely is it anywhere glamorous. Often it's a walk around a local beauty spot or somewhere a little further afield doing the same. I work weekends so time off together is rare and has to be siezed by the short and curly's and used to it's full.
So, back to the conversation. Beany said to me "you're always off somewhere". I replied "Well your off this weekend aren't you?" "No" he said with a puzzled look on his face. "Oh no" I replied "It's me that's off!". So it was a facebook location updating weekend with a lot of photos to back up the claims. Here are some of them.
Firstly we went out on Friday night in our local town, Beany received texts and notifications on FB as well a photo or two. He was working a 3-11pm shift.
Saturday saw us camping in a field in the grounds of Belvoir Castle, Leicestershire, for a round of the British Firework Championships. An overnight stay allowed us to avoid the hour or so of fighting and frustration to get out of the car park followed by a crawl at 30mph, if not slower, along some of the back lanes to the nearest main road to get home. So cheese, bread and wine, an umbrella and some wine were welcome at the lakeside on the opposite side of the firework launch site.
Firework Championships
Worth considering for next year!
Now it's Sunday morning when we have struck the tent. Off home to change the kit tally and shower. Back on the road again and we are in York for a night. Yes, this weekend is going to end on Monday evening. Here are a couple from York, Beany has inevitably seen, and been tagged and notified in, a lot more than these.

We'll be back here. One day is not long enough to see it all. We failed with one and a half days.
