A Blog started when Magic joined our household, but it's about my family/photos/me, not always in that order, as well as that Cat and that Dog of ours.

Party in Leicester
Remi was there (see below) and on Sunday she took really ill. She's fighting in hospital and not doing a lot of being awake but she seems to be pulling through. Oh I do hope she improves quickly. :(

Washout of a day
Carpet day. New floor coverings throughout at 'the other house' .... Oh no it's not, the dumb wench at United carpets and beds said the 11th and then wrote in her book for the 13th! I can't be there that day! Aaargh! Grrrr! The tiler didn't show as he knew it would be difficult to get on and finish. So a missed opportunity there to avoid messing up new flooring.
ANYWAY
It's pyss'istantly raining so no garden tidying appeals at all. However, I don't mind walking in the rain as long as I'm waterproofed up so I took myself off to a local nature reserve, the gated road access has a parking spot close to the entrance. There are Moo's and Baa's living in this field, very nosey Moo's they are too, following me down the road as if to satisfy their curiosity regards my destination. Although they just thought I might feed them is more probable.

Dizzy prat update
An MRI scan last week and some very odd tests on my balance sensors today. A wierd machine you stand in/on. A harness attached in case you fall and away it goes, the walls follow your movements and the floor moves about with or without you keeping up. A standard hearing test in a booth and then an IR camera mounted in some goggles. The camera pointing straight at my eye and recording the movements there as I followed lights across the wall and then laid back to watch them on the ceiling. Both eyes covered for a lot of it. And then first cold air in each ear separately and then warm air, looking into blackness and being recorded in one eye only with IR camera. Weird!
Problems confirmed and the physio informed. Now 3 to 9 months of head movements to recalibrate my brain to the faults in my ears, as the damage done in there is irrepairable, nice! but at least it will get better.

Jubilee Weekend part 3
Tuesday 5th
To round off the weekend Sal, Maisie Jac and I went off to the zoo for the day. Weather forecast wasn't brilliant but it looked like we could get away with rain until past two o'clock so off we went.A lovely day out, Maise really likes the big-nosed things she calls Eff'unts and Sally loved playing Auntie as well as photographer.

Jubilee weekend continued
Not a very good forecast but turned out to be a nice day. we had a walk into town, coffee at Costa a new land-line phone from Argos and a walk home, lovely. As it's nice out an emergency trip to Tesco is required and the tinnies are opening next to the Barbie, should be a good night too at this rate:)

Diamond Jubilee
Our sovereigns Diamond Jubilee celebrations
Saturday 2nd June
Shopping in town with Sally, gifts for an upcoming Birthday. I'm still affected by the dizzy bug and so a head re-calibration on the chair before an afternoon shift at work. On a Saturday of a four day weekend for goodness sake! Still, although it was mistakenly planned in it does pay a premium so not too bad.
Sunday 3rd June
Gift's delivered and the rain coming down in a steady flow we look for something to do today. The local rag advertising a 'big-lunch' in the town and various farmer market and street stall type going's on about the market place. Off we go to find .. .. nothing .. .. nowt .. .. sweet FA. A few cafe's with very wet seating outside and hardly anyone about. All in all a waste of time.
Not capitulating we decide to head for the local village hall. As advertised they have a small circus, a magician show, the local dance troup performing and also a TaiKwondo demonstration. Plus the local Falconer showing off his birds. Well done to the Village.
To be continued. Still two days to get excited about.
