Mothers day. Sally thought it would be great to do as many Mum-likes-this things as possible.
Nero's for late morning coffee and a slice of rather expensive but, rather nice, cake. Lunch at home, all that Mum ate was some of the Thorntons toffee she received earlier.
Then it was off to see Charlie and Co. Charlie and Zach are planning to marry next year so Sally, Jac and Charlie sat looking through mag's and brochures at various possibilities, most of which would need the bank balance of a zillionaire! I sat drawing with Maisie and Zach sat nodding off in front of the football on TV. Football has that effect on me too.
Then off home via a walk around Bradgate Park, all three corners of the park tramped around in the afternoon sunshine. Lovely and superb timing if I say so myself. Even if we did leave Charlie's Sky-Sports at the Tigers kicking off the LV cup. We arrived with a little light rain fading away across the park towards the city.
Home for a cheapo pizzas that are really nice, a wait at the top of the road for a non-show Ice Cream van. Let's have a walk to and around the village then, followed by a cool glass or two of Carling. JD for Jac and a bit of ironing, just to confirm she is a Mum bless her.
