Dried Flower arrangement

For the previous three years I have destroyed a beautiful flower or two at this time of year. Daffodil season is here again and although I like them I also find that doing something untoward  gives a shock effect to a photo. From Smoking to being splattered by a cricket-bat they have had several ways of meeting the compost heap earlier than expected.

Bit of a thing now so here is this years poor attempt at desecrating a pretty yellow flower or two.
It has a tenuous link to another hobby of dried flower arranging, where flowers are dried before use. For this I apologise to any person pursuing that hobby, this is not supposed to be a dig at you. :)

Bradgate Park
Mothers day. Sally thought it would be great to do as many Mum-likes-this things as possible.
Nero's for late morning coffee and a slice of rather expensive but, rather nice, cake. Lunch at home, all that Mum ate was some of the Thorntons toffee she received earlier.
Then it was off to see Charlie and Co. Charlie and Zach are planning to marry next year so Sally, Jac and Charlie sat looking through mag's and brochures at various possibilities, most of which would need the bank balance of a zillionaire! I sat drawing with Maisie and Zach sat nodding off in front of the football on TV.  Football has that effect on me too.
Then off home via a walk around Bradgate Park, all three corners of the park tramped around in the afternoon sunshine. Lovely and superb timing if I say so myself. Even if we did leave Charlie's Sky-Sports at the Tigers kicking off the LV cup. We arrived with a little light rain fading away across the park towards the city.
Home for a cheapo pizzas that are really nice, a wait at the top of the road for a non-show Ice Cream van. Let's have a walk to and around the village then, followed by a cool glass or two of Carling. JD for Jac and a bit of ironing, just to confirm she is a Mum bless her.

More MAC moaning

I have a safety net for my photos/mp3's. It's a pair of external hard-drives to save everything.....twice! After a previous HDD that contained two years worth of photos and music crashed I now duplicate my back-up.
Now having had a PC I formatted these HDD's using the windows NTFS system. This is not a file system Apple are happy with and so my shiny new MAC can't flaming well write to it.!!
So I have had to move all my files to a safe spot on my MAC's HDD to then format and partition the externals to a MAC system for the MAC software backup and exFAT to store photo's and music that are accessible from MAC and the PC's in the house.
FFS Apple, will you talk to the rest of the world on what software/hardware formats are best for everyone. When you have agreed this with EVERYONE else in cyberland will you actually use it!
